Common questions

How much does a virtual office cost in Singapore?

An address with mail handling starts at S$50 a year at VOffice Singapore, S$57 at VOffice Services, S$120 at Modetti and Office M, and S$204 at Workcentral. Straits Virtual Office is S$13 a month on a 12-month subscription, and SnapMail is from S$6 a month on a 36-month plan. A CBD tower address with a business centre behind it costs more: from S$99 a month at The Executive Centre, S$108 at Regus on a 24-month contract and S$128 at Servcorp. Ask what scanning, forwarding and postage add to the base fee.

Can I use a virtual office address as my ACRA registered address?

Yes, if the provider allows it. VOffice Singapore, VOffice Services, Workcentral, Office M, Straits Virtual Office, Modetti, SnapMail, Leftright Corporate, 3E Accounting, Sleek and Raffles Corporate Services all sell their address for ACRA registration. Straits Virtual Office asks you to register the address with ACRA within 14 days of signing up. Regus and The Executive Centre say to confirm the rules for your company first, so ask before you sign.

Will a virtual office scan my mail?

On some plans. VOffice Singapore scans daily to email on its S$100 and S$150 plans, and VOffice Services on its S$98 and S$197 plans, or S$5 a letter otherwise. 3E Accounting scans for free on request, Sleek uploads mail to a dashboard, and Modetti scans every envelope, with opened-letter scanning on its S$380 mailplus plan. Workcentral charges S$30 for scanning as an add-on. VOffice Services does not open books, magazines or bank cards; you collect those in person.

Which virtual offices answer calls for my company?

Servcorp's Virtual Office Package, from S$220 a month, has a receptionist who answers in your company name and transfers calls. The Executive Centre's Premium Package (from S$162 a month) and Call Handling plan (from S$90) include call answering and 24-hour voicemail. Regus Virtual Office is from S$218 a month in Downtown Core, and Workcentral's S$98-a-month plan has a business line with call answering. Straits Virtual Office's S$46 plan gives you a dedicated line that forwards calls to your own phone.

Do virtual office plans include meeting rooms?

Some include hours. VOffice Services' S$97 Business plan has 4 meeting room hours a year and its S$197 VIP plan has 8, for use on weekdays from 10am to 5pm. The Executive Centre's plans come with 8 or 20 coworking hours a month that can go towards meeting rooms, and Regus Virtual Office Plus has 5 office days a month. Otherwise you pay by the hour: from S$20 at Straits Virtual Office's Paya Lebar room for existing customers, S$35 at Workcentral and S$45 at Regus.

Can a foreign-owned company use a Singapore virtual office?

Yes, but pick the right plan. Office M has separate plans for foreign-registered companies from S$156 a year, with international mail forwarding. Modetti sends foreign companies to a separate mailing address service, and VOffice Singapore is for Singapore-incorporated companies only. Raffles Corporate Services charges S$250 for a compliance check on a non-resident entity and S$400 for a non-resident individual, and SnapMail approves offshore companies case by case.

What can't I use a virtual office address for?

VOffice Services says its address cannot be your operating office, your residential address or the base for MOM registrations, work passes or worker accommodation, and businesses that need a physical office for a licence, such as travel agencies, cannot use it. VOffice Singapore says MOM does not accept a virtual office as the operating address of an employment agency, and the address cannot be a residential address for Work Permits. If you plan to hire foreign staff or need a licence, ask the provider before you pay.
