Common questions

How much does a gala dinner cost in Singapore?

Bella Entertainment puts a typical gala at SGD 120 to 450 per guest all in, or SGD 40,000 to 90,000 for 150 to 300 guests and SGD 100,000 to 180,000 for 400 to 600. Mega Events gives a typical annual dinner budget of $150 to $300+ per person. For production alone, Haute Events starts at S$9,000 per event for 200 to 800 guests. Rave Group Int'l sells gala packages from S$5,500 (up to 150 pax) to S$9,988 (more than 300 pax), GST included; venue sourcing is an add-on and food is not listed.

How far ahead should we book a gala dinner company?

For 300 to 1,000+ guests, The Executive Group says 6 to 9 months, especially for October to January dates. Twist Media plans 4 to 6 months for a 500+ pax gala, plus a month in Q4. Visionnaire starts the venue search 6 to 9 months out for October to December. If the venue is already booked, Haute Events needs 8 to 12 weeks for the production and Unearthed Productions at least 8 weeks.

How do gala dinner companies charge?

Three ways show up. A percentage of the event budget: JNR Entertainment quotes 10 to 20 percent, and Bella Entertainment about 10 to 20 percent of total spend. A fixed package: Rave Group Int'l and Bon Events publish package prices by guest count. A line-item quote: The Executive Group quotes either a flat management fee or against a per-guest budget, and Haute Events itemises production line by line.

What does a gala dinner package include?

It varies a lot, so check the emcee and AV lines. Rave Group's Premium package (more than 300 pax) has an emcee, DJ, 3D themed backdrop with lighting, theme setup, table styling, four hours of photography and two hours of photo booth, with AV equipment as an add-on. Bon Events' Package B (up to 350 pax) has AV, a 24ft stage backdrop, a photo booth and invitations, but no emcee. Haute Events' gala production has an LED wall, lighting, sound and a show caller, and lists no venue or catering in that tier.

What permits does a large gala dinner need in Singapore?

The Executive Group lists BCA approval for heavy temporary staging, SCDF fire-safety permits for builds, an SPF Public Entertainment Licence where needed, and COMPASS music licensing for live bands and DJs. It handles these as part of its service. Ask any company you shortlist who files them and how long they take.
